Routine regulation and inspection of restaurants and grocery/convenience stores is conducted by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services respectively. The Department of Health is responsible for investigation and control of food-borne illness outbreaks associated with all food establishments.

To report a possible illness or outbreak from eating and/or drinking a contaminated food or beverage in Florida, you may file an online complaint or call the Martin County Health Department at (772) 221-4090 if the food or beverage were purchased in Martin County.
