Free HIV, STD & Hepatitis C Testing Available

By Renay Rouse

January 29, 2018

In recognition of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, the Florida Department of Health in Martin County is offering free HIV, STD and Hepatitis C testing. No appointment is needed and HIV and Hepatitis C results are available in 20 minutes. Health department staff will also provide free education and counseling.

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day was established to raise awareness of the virus and encourage testing in the African American community. In all communities, lack of awareness of HIV status contributes to HIV risk. People who do not know that they have HIV are not connected to treatment and may pass on the HIV virus to others.
