Getting tested and knowing your status is the first step to stopping the spread of HIV and AIDS. In recognition of World AIDS Day, the Florida Department of Health in Martin County is offering free rapid HIV testing and STD testing on Friday, December 2 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at 3441 SE Willoughby Boulevard in Stuart. No appointment is necessary and HIV test results are available within 15 minutes.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than one million people in the United States are living with HIV infection and 1 in 8 are unaware that they have the virus.
