Getting Ready for Back to School: Stuart event features family resources and supplies

In preparation for the start of the new school year, the Florida Department of Health in Martin County will provide free immunizations at the upcoming Back to School Bash, August 6 in Stuart.

The event, sponsored by the Stuart Police Department and the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, will provide school supplies, community resources and family friendly activities on Saturday, August 6, from 12:00 – 4:00 pm at 705 SE Tarpon Ave in Stuart.

Health Department staff will provide adolescent immunizations including the required Tdap vaccine for incoming 7th graders, as well as vaccines to prevent Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and meningitis.
