Test - Talk - Treat: Free HIV and STD testing available

Martin County, FL – Preventing the spread of HIV and STD infections begins with testing. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 90 percent of new HIV infections in the United States could be prevented by testing and diagnosing people who have HIV and ensuring that they receive prompt care and treatment.

In recognition of National HIV Testing Day, the Florida Department of Health in Martin County will offer a series of free HIV and STD testing events. HIV results are available in 15 minutes. No appointment is needed. Education, counseling and giveaways will be provided.
