March 30, 2016

Residents are invited to take part in free health screenings, enjoy nutritious snacks and learn more about community resources during a health fair on Saturday, April 9 in Stuart.

The event, sponsored by the Florida Department of Health in Martin County, the Love Temple Church of God by Faith and Martin Health System, will provide free blood pressure checks, cholesterol screenings, HIV/STD testing, dental health education and immunization information.

Representatives from many community organizations including Tykes & Teens and Volunteers in Medicine will participate in the event, scheduled for Saturday, April 9 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Love Temple, 505 SE Florida Street, Stuart.

“This health fair is an important event to empower our community. We are joining together with many agencies and are committed to supporting the whole person; physically, spiritually and economically. We welcome all residents to come out and learn more about what they can do to improve their health and well-being.” said Elder Garrick Lewis, Sr., Pastor of the Love Temple Church of God by Faith.
