Mosquitoes love to use old discarded tires to lay their eggs in. A single tire can produce hundreds of mosquitoes!
Martin County is hosting a tire drive in April in an effort to encourage residents to recycle tires. This is done annually in an effort to reduce mosquito breeding sites while it is still relatively dry and also to celebrate Earth Day.
