The Florida Department of Health in Martin County (DOH-Martin) is partnering with the United Way to provide COVID-19 vaccination at the 9/11 Walk & Remembrance Ceremony on Saturday, September 11 from 7:45 – 9:30 am at Jock Leighton Park, 3755 SW Mapp Road in Palm City.

The event will feature a remembrance walk over the Veterans Memorial Bridge and an opportunity to donate blood via OneBlood’s Big Red Bus. Volunteers from the Medical Reserve Corps at DOH-Martin will provide the Pfizer vaccine, which is available to everyone age 12 and older. No appointment is needed.

“The COVID-19 vaccines are a safe and effective tool to stop the spread of the virus” said Carol Ann Vitani, Health Officer, Florida Department of Health in Martin County. “By getting vaccinated, we are protecting ourselves, our loved ones and saving lives. The more people who are vaccinated in our community, the better protected we all are.”
